These three watercolor portraits are 5″ x 3″ and were painted with cool, vibrant colors. Each piece of art is a portrait of a man, featuring primarily blue or purple hues. Although one of the portraits has more background color than the others, they all make use of the white space of the paper to create unique lighting effects.

Thank you Karima! I like watercolor for many reasons. A few of which include the different values that can be created with the amount of pigment or water. The medium also tends to flow and mix with other colors in unpredictable and interesting ways. I enjoy the excitement of spontaneous creativity with unknown outcomes.
Good luck with your artistic pursuits!
