I got a rush of adrenaline when I set my pen down and saw this face staring up at me. It was a little bit disturbing, like he was coming out of the page at me…

I started with some dark black lines, and a mess of black and red. Then I roughed in some watercolor pencil, washed the ink, shaded a little, and waited for it to dry. Before I knew it I was detailing more definition in the eyes, took some fluorescent yellow to them on a whim, and boo! He’s comin’ at ya!
