This is a marker drawing of Sigmund Freud. It is approximately 8″ x 5″ and was drawn in the year 2004. The varying shades of grey were created with markers that have different opacities of color, and the drawing was built up in layers. Marks from the initial pen sketch can still be seen in the darker areas of the art.

i am quite taken by this picture. i really can not find the words to express my pure graditude and love for this picture. as a writer, i am very much inspired by this picture. i wish i could go on, but like i stated before, there are no words in my mouth to tell you how much i am thankful to come accross such a wonderful piece of art.

Hi sir Michael. Your works interest me to make a portrait like this one. But I don’t know the right materials to use because I usually don’t do art. If you mind me asking, what pen did you use? Are the markers you use are the ones bought at the local stores? Thank you very much sir. Truly, your colorful drawings impress me very much. You’re very blessed. Thank you for showing it to us.

Thank you for your compliments and interest in my artwork! The mediums that I used are black pen and Prismacolor® markers. They produce markers that are like 10% grey, 20% grey, 30% grey, etc. It allows for building up the values with various levels of grey/black ink.
